March 13 Update: FVCC Issues Actions in Response to COVID-19
13 March 2020
Flathead Valley Community College announces the following actions in response to the global COVID-19 outbreak:
At this time, FVCC is open and will remain so until further notice. The college will continue to offer the services necessary to meet its core academic mission and serve the needs of the community. FVCC’s residence hall, dining services, library, computer labs and other campus services are open and functional.
Beginning Monday, March 30, FVCC will offer students, when possible, the opportunity to participate in their classes remotely. FVCC faculty and instructors will deliver lectures in real time using FVCC’s online learning platform. Accommodations will be made for students without access to a computer or device with adequate internet service. Faculty and staff will be working closely with students throughout this transition.
FVCC will adhere to county or state recommended or mandated restrictions on group gatherings. At this time, all previously scheduled events will occur as planned.
“We are committed to supporting the educational progress of our students and minimizing disruption to their lives whenever possible,” FVCC President Jane Karas said.
