Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course
EMT is considered the desired level of medical training by many Emergency Medical Services transport agencies. EMTs bring emergency medical care to victims of emergencies to stabilize their condition and safely transport them to an appropriate care facility.
Technician Course (EMT)
The EMT course at FVCC is a 6-credit class that combines classroom study with lab work and practical experience. Students learn the skills needed to respond to medical emergencies and trauma situations. Completing this course prepares you to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examinations.
I completed the EMT course through Running Start after being home-schooled. I plan on working for the Bigfork Fire Department and pursuing my doctorate.
