FVCC Alumna Named 2021 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar
Flathead Valley Community College alumna Alissa Ciraolo has been named a 2021 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholar. Ciraolo was selected for the esteemed award based on her academic achievement, leadership and engagement in college and community service.
Ciraolo earned an Associate of Arts degree at FVCC in December, 2020 and transferred to the University of Montana where she is now working toward a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a concentration in criminology. Ultimately, she plans to pursue a career in criminal justice, specializing in counter-intelligence and forensic analysis.
While at FVCC, Ciraolo served as president of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, mentored other students and was active with the Native American Student Club.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Ciraolo is the only Montana student to receive the Silver Scholar award this year. She will receive a $1,250 scholarship and international recognition at PTK’s annual convention in April.
