FVCC Celebrates Dr. Seuss with Free Screenings of “The Lorax”
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of FVCC’s Seussville University, the college is hosting two free screenings of “The Lorax” on Saturday, March 2. Shows begin at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the campus theatre located inside the Arts and Technology Building. Attendees are encouraged to bring a children’s book to donate to the Literacy Center of Northwest Montana.
Born March 2, 1904, Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) wrote and illustrated more than 60 children’s books before his passing in 1991. FVCC celebrates his legacy every March with Seussville University, a day of story-telling and activities for area second-graders. This year, students who are working toward a bachelor’s degree in elementary education through FVCC’s partnership with the University of Montana will serve as Seussville University “professors.”
